Welcome
These terms are the agreement between you and RV Compass (“we,” “us”), built in Boerne, Texas, and cover your use of the RV Compass app and services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 to purchase a subscription, and 13 to hold an account.
- Keep your login credentials secure; you're responsible for activity under your account.
- Provide accurate information, and keep your rig's specifications up to date.
Free and Pro plans
The free plan includes full planning for one active trip and one rig, at no cost. Pro ($49/year or $6.99/month) adds unlimited trips and rigs, the AI Trip Builder, GPX export, and features we ship next. Pro starts with a 14-day free trial.
- Billing. Paid plans are billed through our payment processor (Stripe) and renew automatically each period until canceled.
- Cancellation. You can cancel anytime in one click from your billing settings; your Pro access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Changes. If we change prices, we'll give notice before your next renewal. Continuing after a change means you accept it.
Your content
Your trips, rigs, photos, reviews, and other contributions are yours. By posting content that's visible to others (a public profile, a shared trip, a place review or photo), you grant us a license to host, display, and distribute it as needed to operate those features. Don't upload content that is illegal, infringing, or that you don't have the right to share. We may remove content that violates these terms or the law.
Community contributions
Reviews, ratings, place suggestions, and hazard reports help other travelers. Make them honest and based on real experience. We may moderate, edit, or remove contributions, and approved reports may feed into everyone's routing and search.
Routing is guidance, not a guarantee
RV Compass computes routes against the rig details and map data available to us, and labels every leg it couldn't compute RV-safe. Map data can be incomplete or out of date, and conditions change. You are responsible for driving safely — obey posted signs for clearance, weight, and restrictions, and use your own judgment. ETAs, weather, and cost figures are estimates, not promises.
Acceptable use
- Don't misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service.
- Don't scrape, resell, or redistribute our data or the Service without permission.
- Don't use the Service to break the law or infringe others' rights.
Third-party services
The Service relies on providers like Supabase, Stripe, Vercel, Mapbox, Anthropic, and WeatherAPI.com. Their availability and terms are outside our control, and links or data from third parties are provided as-is.
Disclaimers & liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent allowed by law. We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.
Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account anytime. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or the law. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (content licenses, disclaimers, liability limits) survive.
Governing law & changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If we change these terms, we'll update the effective date above and, for material changes, notify you. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it. Questions?
